Signs of Spring

Found in our front yard, left-over from the carefully tended garden of years past.

The Waterfowl Park at the heart of Sackville.

The waterfowl, returned to their park.

Pussywillows, warmed by the sun.

A muskrat, intent on his own springtime activities. (I’d never realised how very ratty muskrats are!)

And still, there are a few vestiges of winter:

An aran sock for Mark, to match the aran sweater I made for him a year or two ago. But I only have one ball of the yarn (I realised belatedly) so it may be a while before he has a pair. Fortunately, today’s walk through the marsh tells me he won’t need them for a while!

I have the exact same flowers in my backyard. I’ll try to snap a picture tomorrow! ;) The aran sock is beautiful!!!

Maybe he could hop?

Hi from Austria! Such beautiful photos, thank you for sharing them! Here it is snowing again :(, so any sign of spring, even if it’s just on photos, feels like heaven to me!
I love your aran socks, the cabling is so beautiful - looking forward to see the FO-pics of them!

Muskrats! Cable socks! Spring? Are you sure?

That’s a very nice sock but the muskrat kind of freaked me out! Very ratty.
It does indeed look like spring but I think at this point we should still be quietly optimistic, if you know what I mean.
