Rosebud

So here’s the bottom of Rosebud, with just the first few rows of the bodice, in purple:

I’ve pretty much done it as written, though in a different gauge — the only change I’ve made so far (other than doing it in two colours) is to alter the edging. The pattern calls for a rolled stocking-stitch edge, but I’d just seen the T Twist Tee pattern, which uses a twisted edging, so I put that on. I think it looks quite nice:

It’s kind of a neat technique (described in the Knitty pattern) because you actually do, intentionally, what we’re always warned about when knitting in the round — you twist the left needle under the edge, so that it folds over on itself.

Right, back to work — or maybe a quick walk, since it’s sunny here for the first time in a week. I must take advantage of it!

That technique wouldn’t immediately become an engrained habit, would it? I like it, it’s nicely different.
