Rosebud, finished

So here’s Rosebud:

Sorry it’s not the best picture, but for some reason Mark didn’t seem to want to spend half an hour away from his conference paper for a proper fashion shoot! (We have discussed, however, that in the future a little more zoom and a little less background would be good, so that I don’t have to crop so severely to get any detail — our camera doesn’t have very high resolution, so things get blurry quickly).

I think, honestly, the long-sleeved version is prettier, but I didn’t have enough yarn. I think this will be useful, though.

Of course, for the next little while, this is my baby:

I wonder what he’ll think about something else taking over the centre of our universe…

When I was born, my parents’ cat had a nervous breakdown, she’d been so used to being the center of their world. She lost a lot of fur and appetite for a while, poor thing. I hope yours takes it with greater aplomb.

The sleeveless top is great! CONGRATULATIONS on your big news - I wish you all the best - what a happy time! Enjoy.

It looks amazing Aven! What kind of yarn did you use again?

Rosebud is very pretty, I love the bottom edge you did. When I was a baby and up until I was almost three my best friend was a large ginger cat. My Mother was beside herself with embarrassment when I insisted on taking my afternoon naps in a cardboard box on the back deck with the cat… (I even have a photo of me and Ginger in the box)

Rosebud came out beautiful! I think the sleeveless will get more wear.

Tigger will be The Big Brother!

Congratulations! Where have I been? When the photo popped up on my screen I thought , “Mmm Aven looks pregnant” and then I had to scan back through to find that you are indeed expecting. I swear the last time I checked I was still looking at that muskrat (eww) Funny thing, the new cardigan I made is called Muskat and I always thought muskrat, from having seen your photo.
I’m sure Tigger will be fine. At the very end of my pregnancy my two cats would follow me around and every time I sat down, they would sit on either side of me. No jealousy afterwards that I noticed, but perhaps I was just too tired.
The Rosebud is lovely too!
