Things that make me happy

The first apple blossoms in our little orchard:

Tigger in a field of forget-me-nots:

Dandelions:

(I know they’re weeds, but can you honestly say that isn’t pretty?)

Tiny socks:

An amazing present from friends back home:

(Mission Falls Cotton and Blue Sky Cotton — so soft, so pretty!)

More (!) amazing presents from my friends (Thank you so much!):

(That’s “Special Knits” and “Baby Style” from Debbie Bliss, and “Adorable Knits for Tots” by Zoe Mellor)

And last, but certainly not least, Mark home from his conference!
(I’d have a picture here, but he’s come down with a cold and is upstairs in bed, so he probably wouldn’t appreciate a camera in his face right now!)

Happy, happy, happy.

Simple pleasures are the best. No apple blossoms around here yet. Tigger is a country boy now.

Isn’t spring great?

Super cute baby booties, I love the colours!

Awwwwwwww Aven :) Your friends are so sweet to send you that beautiful yarn and those wonderful books :) I made the star sweater on the cover in adorable knits using Shine from Knitpicks and it really turned out beautifully. The little guy I made it for hasn’t worn it yet though because it was too big for him.

I love the socks you’ve made. Poor Mark - hope your cold gets better soon Mark. And Tigger…Tigger looks soooo happy cavorting around in the trees. I had a reddish blonde cat named Libby who was a chicken cat (he was too scared to do much of anything); but he kept rehearsing his one smooth move jumping into our peach tree until he got it right..and then he was our cool chicken cat ;)

Hope you don’t catch Mark’s cold Aven.

Thanks for the blossom pictures..they’re so beautiful :)

I have slowly become a real fan of Debbie Bliss’ baby stuff patterns. And can I just say that the cashmerino aran is one of my very favorites to work with. Plus it just feels like something you want to put against your little one’s skin. I’ve knit many a kimono sweater in it.

Hey! I was in your neighbourhood for about 3 minutes on Friday. On the train…

Love the Debbie Bliss book. I’ve made the cover sweater.

What’s not to be happy about? Cute pic of Tigger in the tree. My allergies won’t let me appreciate dandelions in person, but they’re pretty in pictures.

Why are tiny socks so freaking adorable? Can’t wait to see what you knit up for Baby.

Tell Mark to get better soon. I certainly hope he wasn’t trying out Chaucer’s pick up lines and picked up a cold…..
