Hands-Free Baby

You can tell how much I care about this blog by the fact that I am going to post this incredibly unflattering picture of me, just so I can demonstrate my newest baby/knitting combo:

He’s just been introduced to the Snugli — it seems to be meeting with a generally favourable response, so yay! to liberation from constantly holding him!

I found the sling and later the trekker to be invaluable for getting knitting done while keeping baby cozy and asleep.

I loved the baby bjorn / snugli as well — as did Nathan! We moved on to a sling and then an Ergo, which was expensive but totally worth it. The hands-free aspect of it is amazing!

And if that’s as bad as your photos get … you’re pretty lucky! :)

And one day you will find yourself, standing in line at the grocery store perhaps, doing the “mother’s-sway-from-side-to-side-in- heartbeat-time” and you will be discovered chatting to your own chest … right where the snugli used to be.

Wow, that’s a cool contraption!! (especially because it leaves your hands free for knitting).

BTW, how’s Mr. Tigger getting along these days? Has he adjusted to not being the “only child” anymore?

You should check out the Moby Wraps. They are so snuggly and a lot easier to nurse in than the Snugli carriers.

Yay! Glad you’ve found a way to knit.

Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year Aven, Mark and your little one and to Tigger of course. Hope Tigger is starting to be a good sport about this whole baby thing.
